So we will look at the beginning of the
Jewish people and I'm going to the
argument to you that Israel and the
Jewish identity are constructs of the
imperial imagination.
Okay. Um and this is hard to understand.
So I'm going to explain it to you slowly
but the idea is that because of its ge
geographic location Israel has always
been historically imported and as a
result different empires have tried to
manipulate the identity of Israel to
best um uh promote their own agenda or
policies. Okay. So um I know this is a
hard concept to understand but but we'll
we'll go for it slowly. And again, we're
spending like the rest of semester on
this major thesis of ours. Okay, so now
let's move on to Israel. Okay, we know
we now know about the Persian Empire,
how they managed their system and why
they are so effective. Okay, now let's
talk about Israel. So remember that we
read the Bible um and the Bible um came
about because David needed to justify
legitimize his rule and after branches
collapsed David created a Davidic
kingdom um in the Levant because Egypt
Anatolia Mesopania were preoccupied
right but because Lavant is so important
this kingdom doesn't really last that
long it lasts for like 80 200 years
Okay. Um after Solomon David's son dies,
Israel is divided into two parts. The
northern kingdom which gets conquered by
Assyria as well as Judah. Okay.
Jerusalem where which tries to maintain
the kingdom but doesn't last very long.
After some in history
um uh the Israelites are being pulled in
different directions. Okay. The
Anatolians, the Assyrians, the
Babylonians, the Egyptians because they
are strategically very important. And so
what's really hard for these empires is
how do we maintain control over
Jerusalem, okay? And they try different
techniques. They try um burning down
their city centers. Okay? So the
northern kingdom was destroyed. Uh you
might have heard of the 10 lost tribes
of Israel. Um they tried taking
hostages. Okay? But because this region
is so volatile, nothing really works.
And so the Jew Jerusalem, the Israelites
keep on rebelling. Okay.
Um,
so this is king of Judah. And what
happens is for the longest time the
Babylonians are trying to deal with the
Israelites. Okay? So they take hostages.
Okay? They take hostages like thousands
of them and move them to Babylon where
they become scribes, where they become
farmers, where they become merchants.
Okay?
Um but again the region is so
strategically important that Jerusalem
uh the Israelites they switch loyalties
all the time. Eventually the Babylonians
are so pissed off that they decided to
burn down their temple. Okay. And so at
this point in history then the
Israelites are now gone. Okay. Does that
make sense? The Israelites are gone now.
Um 587
to 6. We don't know when, but Babylon's
destroyed Jerusalem
because they cannot they they they tried
many techniques to try to control
Jerusalem. They can't do it. The
Israelites are too rebellious. Uh but
it's too strategically important. So
they destroy. So so they decide, you
know what, screw this. We'll just
destroy the city. Okay. So when this
happens, okay, this is really important
for understand. The Israelites are gone.
Okay, the people are still around. The
identity of the Israelites are now gone.
539 Cyrus the Great conquers Babylon.
Okay. And he says, "I want the
Israelites to return to Jerusalem." It's
called the Idict of Cyrus. All right?
And this is celebrated in the Bible.
What is controversial is why would he do
such a thing? Okay? Because again, the
Israelites are now gone.
um the Israelites who go who went to
Babylonia. They may still keep their
religion a bit but they no longer have
their land. They no longer they're they
have changed as a people. Okay. So as an
Israelite you pray in a temple but the
temple is now destroyed. So now you um
pray in a synagogue. Okay. So the people
have changed a great deal. So the
question now is why would Cas the great
go to Babylon said you know what I want
you Israelites to return to Jerusalem. I
want you to reconstitute the nation of
Israel. Why would he do that?
Okay. So, this is going to this is a
going to be a debate that will never
ever end. Okay. So, the Bible tells us
that Cyrus the great did this because
God told him to do that. Really simple.
God says, "I love my people. The
Israelites send them home." Okay? And
Cy, yes, of course, you're the great
God. I'll do so. Okay, guys. That's how
it happened. Okay. All right. So, there
are different explanations. Um maybe the
idea is that Cyrus wants to show all the
Persian Empire I'm religiously tolerant.
You can practice your religion. You can
set up your religion. That's what the
Persian Empire is. An open, tolerant,
generous empire. Okay, that's true.
What's also true is that Cyrus thought
himself as a righteous and merciful king
uh who wanted to be generous to
everyone. Okay, so he saw the Israelites
uh want home. He says, "Well, go home."
Okay. Um he it's also possible that
there's a faction within the Israelites
who supported his Babylon takeover.
Okay, I don't know if this is true. It's
probably not true, but we consider that
consider that as as a possibility that
the Israelites in Babylon supported his
takeover. And so to thank them, Cyrus
said, "Fine, I'll give you back
Jerusalem."
Um, another possibility is that uh when
Cyrus the great conquered Babylon, he
discovered that you know what these
Israelites are really good
administrators. And this is true found
history because remember the Israelites
have their Bible and the religion
requires them to study the Bible. And as
we discussed the Bible is one of debate,
openness, asking questions. And so these
are very literate intellectuals and they
rise up very high in the Babylon
administration. But this is true
throughout history where where Jewish
people will rise very high in all
empires include including the Islamic
empire including uh the American empire.
Okay.
Um I think the best reason for what
happen is divide and rule. Okay. So the
idea is that
you need to control the Levant because
Levant gives you access to Egypt which
is historically the wealthiest part of
the world. Okay. ever controls Egypt
controls the world. So what you do is
you set up a group of people in the
Levant that are only loyal to you. Okay?
Does that make sense? Okay. You set up
people in the Levant that only exist
because you, the empire, allow them to
exist. If you the empire did not support
them, then the locals, the everyone in
that region would would get rid of them
right away. Okay? And that's why we have
the Jews. So the Jews were invented by
the Persians to control the Leavant. The
Jews is actually a Persian term. Okay.
So before the Jews were of course the
Israelites. Now we have the Jews.
All right. So
um this is Jerusalem. And as you can see
what's really important to understand is
that this is actually only a really
small part of the Lat. But this part is
specifically for the Jews. Um, and it's
part of this Persian province called
Beyond the River. Okay? And they call it
the province of Yahoo. That's that's why
we have the term Jews. Okay? Because
they are part of the province of Yahoo.
And and what's really important to
understand is they're surrounded by
enemies. The Samrians are Israelites who
have stayed in the Lant. Okay? Do you
understand?
So most people around them are in fact
ishraelites who uh adapted to local
circumstances and that means that they
practice different religions. That also
means that they married foreign women as
well but they still consume consume as
Israelites. Okay? Right? Does that make
sense guys?
So
what but what happens is that these
exiles from Babylon, they come back and
they say, "No, we're the true
Israelites. You guys are the false
Israelites. The reason why we're true is
we have stayed loyal to um our
religion." Okay? So what's going to
happen over the next few decades is
almost a civil war between Israelites
who've stayed and Israelites who left
but come back. All right? All right. And
this is what the Persian Empire wants in
order to maintain stability in the
Levant. Right? Because you have this
small minority um of exiles from Avalon
who've come back and they're in conflict
with everyone else. All right? This is
divine rule. So these are my three
predictions.
First of all, they're going to rebuild
the temple of Solomon.
Okay? They're going to build the third
temple by destroying the eyes like moss.
They're going to do that sooner or
later. Okay? That's the first thing
they're going to do. And and you can you
know why? Because when we when we read
the Bible, you can see how how happy
they were, okay? Because they felt
completed. They felt as though God is
with us. God has forgiven us. God loves
us. Okay? So building a third temple is
crucial to the identity of Israel today.
Okay? So they're going to do this and
it's going to cause a lot of problems
because again the mosque is the third
holiest site in the Islamic world and
it's going to create a lot of conflict
between Israel and the Islamic world.
Okay, do they care? Not really. Okay.
Number two, you can see how um when the
Jews returned, they were convinced that
they were forced out of Jerusalem
because they offended God. Okay? So in
other words, if Jews want to maintain
control over Israel, they need to obey
the laws of God, which means that they
become a theocracy. Okay? Now, now I'm
not sure if you've been to Israel. I've
been to Israel. And if you go to place
like Tel Aviv, it's a very open,
liberal, cosmopolitan, forward-looking
place. Okay? I think that um Tel Aviv
has um one of the world's highest
concentrations of gays in the world.
Okay.
Guess what? That's that's gone. Okay. As
Israel develops over time, it's become
more and more of a theocracy where the
Bible is the law. Okay. And the third
thing is that we we can expect that as
the past past Judeaic expands, more and
more Jews will return to Israel. Look,
the reality is this. If you look at the
Middle East, Israel is the greatest
power in the Middle East. There's no
force in the Middle East that can
prevent Israel from expanding and
expanding including the pacts Judeica
which is their ambition. Okay. So um
this is just an introduction but the
thing I want you guys to remember is
that first of all the Jewish identity it
is uh fluid. It's flexible. It's open.
It was created by empire for the purpose
of maintaining empire. Okay? And we're
going to see this throughout history as
well. All right. So, um, is was this
clear to you guys? Are there any
questions about today? Okay. Yeah.
So, how does the the Persian state
control like Persian control of
uh of Jerusalem
transfer to modern day society? Like,
how does it still work? because I think
we're seeing like a a trend that
is Israel's going kind of more back to
to like depending on the Bible and
everything. So, how does it like
transfer to modern day society and all
the conflicts that's happening?
Okay, so Persia wanted to divide and
conquer the Lavant. Okay. They're afraid
that if one if the LA becomes too
stable, the vant might settle with Egypt
or another power and they lose control
of the Levant um which directly impacts
your capacity to trade and control um
the world. Okay. So the way you control
the Levant is you create this entity
um that has conflict with everyone else.
And now what happens is that both this
entity um
um Jerusalem and the its enemies rely on
you Persia to manage a conflict. Okay?
And this what's happening today in
Israel because who's the empire?
America's the empire, right? Israel has
all these conflicts with nations in the
Middle East, right? They have conflicts
with Turkey. They have conflicts with
Egypt. They have conflicts with uh the
Gulf nations. They have conflicts with
basically everyone. Okay. So, who does
everyone require need to manage this
conflict? America, right? Saudi Arabia,
Israel, Turkey, Egypt, they all require
the United States to come in and say,
"Hey guys, let's just get along. We're
just one big family." Okay? This is all
intentional in order for America to
maintain dominance over the Middle East.
Who's very unhappy about this? Which
nation is very unhappy about this?
Israel. Okay.
Right. Israel is going to piss about
this. So we can expect that over time
what's going to happen is a major major
conflict between America and Israel.
There's going to be a divorce basically.
And my argument to you is that um Israel
will win this conflict and as a result
Israel will become the dominant power in
the Middle East because the Jews know
their own history. The Jews read the
Bible every day. They know what the
Persians did. They know what the British
did. They know what the Americans are
doing today. They don't like they don't
they don't want this. They don't they
don't want to become a servant a slave
to empire. They are ser servant and
slave to their god but they don't become
a servant and slave to the empire. So
they need to get rid of the empire and
establish a sovereignty.
Okay? And that's why there's so much
conflict in the Middle East today
because Israel needs to figure out how
to get rid of the American Empire so
that they can be independent and um
fully achieve their sovereignty. Okay.
Does that make sense?
Yeah. I think one question I have is
about like I think currently the Jews
stop attacking Palestines.
Okay guys, guys. Okay, this is really
important. Okay, don't say the Jews.
Okay, there are different groups.
There's the Israelites. The Israelites
are the time of King David. They're
gone. Okay, let's forget the Israelites.
There are the Jews and the Jews are
people who practice Judaism. Okay, then
there are the Israelis. Israelis are
citizens of the nation of Israel. It's
the Israelis that are doing this, not
the Jews. There's a difference, okay?
The Jews are spread out throughout the
world, okay? What we call the Jewish
diaspora. And there are a lot of Jews in
the world who oppose the nation of
Israel because well, what nation nation
is is doing they believe goes against
the will of God. Okay. So, Israelis not
Jews. Okay.
Okay. So the Israelis is
I think like the news just disappears
about how Israelis attacks Palestine.
It's just because
previously is it was like all on those
host searches but recently we can just
it's just just gone the newses.
Okay. Um look the reality is that if you
read the Bible it's clear what's going
to happen. Uh, Israel is going to clear
the West Bank and Gaza of Palestinians
to re to establish their theocratic
state. Okay? They can't have
Palestinians and Arabs around. It has to
be completely Jewish.
Um, and these Palestinians can be moved
elsewhere to Jordan, to Egypt. They
don't really care. Okay? But but this
process process will take time.
Okay. Okay. All right. Any more
questions, guys?

Nice intro, Dr. Jiang! It's interesting to add that the old levantines were politheists, and Jawe/Jehu was a foreign god introduced by southerner tribes that invaded the region by the end of the bronze age. It was a god of the desert, war and thunderstorms. The tribe of Jehu conquered the southern kingdom and banded other tribes to fight against the bronze age invasions that were occupying the Levant (sea people). (Jehu)Salem was taken as their seat of power, but it was actually a much older settlement. The cult of Jehu initially was celebrated along with other levantine and even mesopotamian gods. In the action of Tel Arad (modern Israel), archaeologists Found an old temple dedicated to Jawe (Jehovah) were the figure of the god was represented along another figure of a tree, representing a female goddess, probably it's wife, Asherah (Astarte). In the book of Kings, one can realise how the priests from Jerusalem condemned the people from both the kingdoms (southern Judah and northern Israel) for worshiping other gods than Jahu (Jehovah). Even the kings were not monotheists, mostly. Only in the Babylonian diaspora the monotheist religion would be constructed "as we know", from Zoroastrian influence. Away from the temple and the royal lineage "lost", the authority would fall to the priesthood. The old texts from different traditions, both northern and southern, would be altered to serve this new narrative. But there are still many hints of these alterations and their original meanings.

It’s a bunch of European conquerors who hijacked the culture. They’re strategically placed there so they can steal rare earth minerals to slay the whole world with the world government. But it’s not just them. There’s plenty others that supposed to be enemies that are actually partners.

Cyrus the Great introduced the 'One God' concept to them because that was the Zoroastrian belief, before this they were a nomadic tribe who practiced polytheism (like the worship of the bull headed God Moloch) also, their scriptures were written right after this period, taking ideas and stories from other religions of the time.

As others mentioned, it's not a blanket ban. In addition to hiding the genetic drift within their own population, they probably also want to obscure the common ancestry they share with Palestinians, who are about as much related to the people living on that land a 2000 years ago as the Israelis today. (IIRC, various Jewish and Palestinians share roughlly 1/3 of their ancestry with the folks from 2k years ago.)

No, "Israelis" were Jews that were taken out of Israel, but replanted back into Israel by the Persians. It is not Persians who take over "Israel", it is "Israelis" who were allowed to go back to the Levant and they followed the rule of the Persians, who were the empire at that time.

The Levant is just a tiny part of Shem's territory.
The first people to dwell in Canaan (against God's will), the original Canaanites ("Natufiens"), were actually a group of North/West Africans (descending from a progenitor named Cham/Ham), from outside the territory of Shem.
Semitic tribes - mainly Arameans (they founded Aramean City States within ancient Canaan - like e.g. "Aram Damascus")
- and Chaldeans (amongst the latter Abraham and Lot) - migrated into the Levant from the EAST.
DNA proves them to have originated from the CAUCASUS and Northern Mesopotamia.

"Japheth in the land of Shem" were:
1. this early tribe which originated in the Pontiac Caspian Steppe - Madai, son of Japheth - and father of the so- called "INDO- ARYAN" Medes and Persians, Tocharyans, Hurrians, Skythians, etc.
2. The much, much later invading groups from the Altai/Aral regions in Siberia - namely the TURKS (Ashkenaz and other Japhethic tribes).

The way in which Prof. Jiang Xueqin drops straight facts that'd be shocking to hear in a western university like they're nothing is hilarious 😂
- The Bible came about because David needed to justify and legitimize his rule
- This is true through history, where jewish people rise very high in all empires including the Islamic empire, and the American empire
- If you read the Bible, it's clear what's gonna happen: Israel will clear the West bank and Gaza of Palestinians to establish their theocratic state. Okay?

Many people make a mistake by thinking Persian only means modern Iranian people, but that is not correct. Persian was a civilisation, culture, and language, not a single modern nationality. Ancient Persian empires included lands of today’s Afghanistan (Ariana/Khorasan), Iran, Central Asia, and beyond. The Persians played a major role in preserving Jewish identity, especially when Cyrus the Great freed the Jews from Babylon, allowed them to return to Jerusalem, and rebuild their Temple. This was not just an Iranian act, but a Persian imperial policy, shared by peoples of the wider Persian world, including Afghan ancestors. So Persian heritage belongs to Afghans as well, and history should not be narrowed to modern borders

I think something could be said about Hindu identity, which was created by the British. The British basically combined all the native traditions and culture into one Hindu religion with the help of Brahmins. The British were also pretty woke/orientalist in the early 20th century and gave this spiritual aura to Hinduism, which is not unique to Hinduism at all.

When he is talking about Persian Empire, he forgets that there was no Islam at that time and not even Christ. Maybe Persian support Jews for purposes of politics or humanity but it hasn't to do with Islam at the time since Islam was non existent. One thing he was right in his speech, was that there was no mention of Palestine in ancient times which is true. There was no nation or tribal groups by that name in that area whatsoever. So, they shouldn't be there even now. Persian always stand with Israel and Israelis 💚💚💚🤍🤍🤍❤❤❤🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

This person demonstrates no grasp of basic chronology or even the correct names of places and people.
"Jewish identity" was born with the destruction of the first Israelite Temple, and the smuggling out of the Talmud and several sages, who oversaw the evolution of Judaism from a local city-state belief system into an abstract, ideological religion based in the diaspora.
"Jewish identity" is also perhaps the most consistently reinforced ancient identity, by genetics across the diaspora. Unless you have some other way to explain consistent Y-dna among Jews from India to California to Ethiopia?
Anything else this person says is more of the "motivated reasoning" that may just be click farming, for all of its coherence.
Beware of "educators" like this. His material is full of it, from what little ive seen.

“The (6th c. BCE) Israelites had their Bible.” No evidence for that. Prof. Yonatan Adler says no tangible evidence of Torah practice until ~ 200 BCE. Elephantine Jews were completely ignorant of Moses, Torah. Our Bible is essentially a post-Alexander fictional saga.

Going back in history, my views are the same about the reason the Persians facilitated the return and re-establishment of the Jews in the Levant. The Persians wanted a buffer state between them and the Egyptians. Plus the Jews were good technocrats, traders, and financiers. Most of the time the small kingdoms of the Levant, Egypt, Babylon, Persia were at peace with eachother, so having a technocratic state in the region was advatageous.

I believe your dismissing the idea that ‘God told Cyrus’ is a fundamental misreading: Cyrus followed the divinely ordained religion of Zoroaster, hence his lofty principles (such as you rightly noted, tolerance & freedom of religion, etc. which was a fundamental cornerstone for his successes). His declaration of the first human bill of rights, emanates from his religious beliefs. It also demonstrates how moral principles, when allowed to supersede political ambitions (a rarity) creates a society that is more at peace & ease. Today many Persians/Iranians disillusioned with the Islamic republic aspire to a world that reflects more of what Cyrus the Great stood for.

There's an important question the professor unfortunately doesn't clarify. The Israelites in the Bible are identical to the Palestinians. The Israelites who are currently ethnically cleansing the Palestinians are not. This information shouldn't be omitted. There's a reason Israel banned
DNA testing. Precisely for this reason. It is very negligent that the professor did not clarify this.

Divide and rule is a proven strategy that has been used throughout history. It is no coincidence that after WW2 several countries were divided in two and we have the Cold War stand off between Communism and Capitalism. The first civil war in the US consisted of two competing factions of American financial interests. The fact that one faction was able to subjugate the other and reunify the nation is significant also. Who ever is orchestrating history prefers the divide and conquer model of civil wars over the revolutionary model which is why they created a fake revolution known to us as Communism that they fund and support.

Friendly reminder for everyone watching:
The claim in this lecture (that the Babylonian Exile never happened and that the Persians essentially invented Jewish identity and wrote the Torah) is not accepted by any mainstream historian or archaeologist, whether in Israel, Europe, North America, or even most scholars in China.
We have:
• Babylonian Chronicle tablets that explicitly record Nebuchadnezzar’s siege and conquest of Jerusalem in 597 and 587/586 BCE
• Archaeological destruction layers in Jerusalem, Lachish, and dozens of Judean sites dated exactly to 587/586 BCE
• Babylonian ration tablets from Babylon that list ‘Yaḫûkīnu king of Judah’ (Jehoiachin) and his sons receiving food
• The Lachish Ostraca describing the final months before the fall of Jerusalem
The idea that the entire Torah was composed as Persian propaganda in the 5th–4th century BCE also contradicts the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Septuagint (translated ~250 BCE), and hundreds of linguistic and textual studies.
Critical scholarship does place the final redaction of many biblical books in the Persian period, but that is very different from saying the whole exile story is fiction.
Always good to enjoy alternative theories, but this one is considered fringe/pseudo-history by the global academic community. Check the sources above if you want to dig deeper!

Where are you getting your bloody information from, and where are the dates. As I study ancient Kemet, you come to realise there was no bloody Israel, it was just Canaan up until 665BC. The proof of this is that Taharqa 25th Dynasty is mentioned in the bible for going into Jerusalem to save the Hebrews from Assyrian attack. However, if you read his stele, he mentions nothing about Jerusalem or Hebrews, he goes into Canaan-Syria (Retebu-Kabet), because his God Amun-Ra promises him these lands to rule beneath his sandals, this is documented historic facts of his actions and why he did what he done (which led to his downfall and the loss of Kemet). Now, you look into Auset and Heru, and see that the Greeks and Roman's turned these ancient Kemetic deities into a white Mary and Jesus. Auset and Heru where ancient Kemetic deities, that came with their profound spiritual stories for remembrance, but essentically Auset is the Sirius constellation with the Virgo (Virgin) arisen and Heru is the sun (Son) and basically it is to do with the winter solstice where you have the longest day of the year around December 22nd, and then the sun rises a minute early each day. Furthermore, the Greeks took ancient Kemetic knowledge and swindled the Axum/Ethiopians into writing the first bible. The Axum Kingdom was probably desperate for power of the Kushites (Sudanese) who were invisible before their fall.

It’s the start of a series. Next, any other group, national or religious identity. They are all divisive constructs of the mind. There will never be peace and true cooperation until the mind is unmasked and transcended. It’s not the neighbor’s fault, the politicians’ corruption, the bankers , pharmaceutical etc. It’s the human mind whose self-awareness and authenticity are dormant that needs investigating at the individual level.

Several things:
(1) yesterday's Israelites are today known as Palestinians; the Ashkenazi settlers who created Israel are of Asiatic origin and are not related to the Israelites.
(2) Cyrus brought the Jews (Palestinians) back to Jerusalem for the same reason that Omar the Caliph and Salahuddin (Saladin) brought them back. Whoever submits to God cannot be hindered from their prayers. This is why there's the concept of "people of the book" in Islam.
(3) Prof Jiang makes the assertion that Cyrus wanted to divide-and-conquer the Jews without any proof.
(4) Al-Aqsa IS the third temple. The Ashkenazi are out of luck.

Dear Prof.Jiang, i saw your presentation and it has many inaccuracies. Here are a number of facts that are not well represnted in the presentation:
1. IMHO the way you use the different names of "Israel" is confusing. The "Israelites" are the old name that was used to describe all the 12 tribes before they had an actual kingdom, as in the time of the exodus from Egypt. The correct Hebrew name is "Bnei Israel", when Israel is another name for Jacob, who had 12 sons, the patriarchs of the Israelites. Among those Sons, was Judeah (Yehuda the correct form) which became an influential tribe later on. Then as you mentioned, the time of the unified kingdom "Israel", which split into 2 different kingdoms Israel and Judeah (from the Judeah tribe, plus the Levite tribe the priesthood). The "Kingdom of Israel" was exiled and destroyed by the Assyrians, and thus the 10 lost tribes, and was left only the "Kingdom of Judeah". They were exiled to Babylon. They kept their cultural and religious identity in Babylon, and became the "Jews" as you say in English (from the name Judeah and correctly pronounced Yehudim).
2. Now you take the English name "Jews" and claim that it is a total new creation of the Babylonians, but you should use the original names in Hebrew and Aramaic which is Yehudim יהודים (plural and singualr is Yehudi יהודי). If you know Hebrew you can see that this is just the name Judeah יהודה in the adjective form, which makes total sense. The word "Jews" is just an English form. The assumption that it shows a creation of a new identity, is false.
3. The area around the returning Jews from Babylon were not "Israelites" , and not "Ishraelites" (Im not sure if that a mistake in the pronounciation or you are trying to refer to the Ishmaelites, which are a totally different ethnic group), except for the Samaritans, which its possible were some "Israelites" that were left and married foreign women (against the rules of Moses and Israel). The rest were Edomite, Amonite, Moabites, esc...That is why the returning Jews didnt accept them as Jews.
4. whether the Babylonian saw the Jews as their allies, emisarries, or their extention, doesnt negate the fact that the Jews had their own real cultural and religious identity, and their own national aspirations. As such they are NOT a foreign power. In this short video i havent seen any evidence to support that assumption either. For the modern time assumption, if you refer to Israel as an extention of the "American" Imperial power, that is false as well, as USA support Israel only after 1969, and before that boycotted Israel, and didnt supply it military aid due to the influence of the Arab Boycott.
5. Israel is still cosmopolitan and the only true democracy in the Middle East, with real elections. Israel had control over Jerusalem and the El-Aqsa and golden dome mosque since 1967. They could have destroyed it at that war time, and any time since then in those 57 years, but they didnt. in fact, it is forbidden according to Rabbais today for "purity" reasons.
6. The holiness of Jerusalem for Muslims is only according to Hadith and not according to the Quran, which is a lesser authority (The Hadith are stories about Muhammad which were collected over time, and later were critisized and minimized by Islamic critiques who checked the validity of their claims, since the stories were used as an influence tool by different Muslim groups). The Hadith of the Muhammad visit to the Al Aqsa (the farthest Mosque) described a city with a wall, but at Muhammad time Jerusalem didnt had a wall. It was circulaed at the time of the house of Ummiyad, who was in conflict with another house, and didnt let them pilgrimage to Mecca, so they needed another holly site). Jerusalem as a name doesnt show in the Quran.
7. I dont believe you have answered the question of the student at the end. I will answer him: The "attacks on Palestinians" as he refered to them, is a 2 years war on 7 fronts that Israel is fighting due to the massacredone by the Palestinians on 7 oct 2023, where they raped, killed, maimed citizens of Israel, Women, Children, Men, Jews, Arabs, and even foreign Thai agricultural workers, in most horrible ways you can imagine, and after they took more than 200 hostages, and after they promised to repeat the massacre again and again. Israel was fighting "not attacking innocent Palestinians" in Gaza, West Bank, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, Iran and Houties in Yemen, who all joined the war against Israel. The reason you dont hear much about it, is that the US had declared a "cease fire" in Gaza, under certain conditions that the terror organization Hamas which represents the Palestinians need to fulfill, and in return Israel need to fulfill its part. Hamas has continuosly broke the agreement, by attacking Israeli soldiers in the cease fire line called the yellow line, and by delaying the return of hostages bodies. Israel non the less, try to continue the agreement to apease USA, and get back the last bodies of the hostages. I also guess there is a media fatigue from the story.
8. will be happy to further explain any other subjects.

5:05 ahhh I see. You dont believe in God haha. The bible is the most sold and bought book in human history with the most ancient manuscripts in human history and its the book translated in the most languages, in human history. Its categorically the number one piece of literature ever. The nay-sayers are just opinionated. The guy is bringing up archeological evidence confirming the historical accuracy of the bible, but he just doesn't believe in the Most high God. Classic.

Prof, the Kingdom of Israel and Kingdom of Judah are 2 different entities. You blended the 2 the entire presentation. The Assyrians took all the Israelites north, while the Babylonians took Judah and brought Judean captives there. This is a key distinction with lots of possibilities and implications that make some folks very uncomfortable. The question is who are the real lost tribes, and where did they go in history?

1:30. The Tel-El Amarna tablets confirm Joshua's conquest of Canaan. The time between Moses and the exile to Babylon is around 860 years of Israel's existence in the land, kingdoms of Israel and Judah, Israel was deported by Assyria in 722 B.C. and Judah deported to Babylon in 586 B.C.

I just listened prof. Yonatan Adler´s interview and his understanding, based on his research, was that there probably was not one Israel that was divided into Israel and Judea. His conclusion is that Israel, the northern territory, and Judea, the area around Jerusalem, were already originally two different areas. Israelites were just the people from the northern area and they have vanished/assimilated into other nations (around 700 BCE). According to Adler, Torah and its myths were introduced to Jewish people around 250 BCE by some leading class. They had created the biblical stories filling gaps in some older text remnants that had been carved into stone. Jewish people did exist long before they had any Torah but after getting the Torah, they began to understand themselves through its stories. Which of course also means Judaism, religion of the jews, is not their original religion and above all, not as old as it claims. And by the way, Yonatan Adler is Israeli, living in (modern day) Israel😊

Leviticus 25:8-55 describes the practice of debt jubilee. While commonly regarded as a divine prescription in the Hebrew Bible, there is evidence to suggest that a similar practice was carried out in Mesopotamia. The practice of debt forgiveness, which included the restoration of confiscated land and release of bonded servants and slaves is expected to rotate through a 50-year cycle - a period of approximately 3 generations in the second century BCE - it is also reported by economics Professor Richard Wolff to have been practiced at the ascension of a new ruler which is expected to garner the favor of the (conquered) population.

The ancient Persian name for Jew was Kalim.
It wasn’t until after the life of William Shakespeare (1564-1616) that the modern English alphabet welcomed “J” as its 26th and final letter. In fact, first-edition copies of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet from 1597 were titled Romeo and Iuliet, as the letter “I” was often used as a written substitute for words with a “J” sound in English. In order to fully understand the letter’s origins, however, we need to go all the way back to ancient Roman times.

14:17 You’re right. Israel will dominate the United States through the biggest betrayal in the history of humanity.
When you put all your trust in one person, as you do with a best friend, you can EXPECT betrayal if that person has a blemished heart. The Israeli government loves and respects no one but the power it seeks.
America will be like: “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me." —Psalm 41:9
The saddest thing is that it’s so evident, but the US government can’t see it. We’re like the friendless kid who wants a best friend badly. Sad.

Jiang Xueqin’s views on Palestinians and a Palestinian state are primarily framed through his "Predictive History" and "Geo-Strategy" frameworks, which treat modern conflicts as results of historical patterns and external psychological manipulation rather than just local disputes.
Based on his recent lectures and public content:
1. View of the Conflict as a "Trap"
Jiang often characterizes the struggle in Gaza and the West Bank as a geopolitical trap.
He has argued that the escalation of conflict is often manufactured or encouraged by what he calls "priestly" or elite forces to provoke a wider war (particularly with Iran).
In this view, he often frames Palestinians as being caught in a cycle of "guerrilla warfare" and "asymmetric conflict" that mirrors historical precedents like the Vietnam War, suggesting that the ultimate goal of these conflicts is to shift global power dynamics.
2. Analysis of Hamas and Strategy
Jiang has analyzed groups like Hamas not necessarily through a religious lens, but through a strategic lens.
He has discussed "Hamas’ strategy" in terms of how it forces a reaction from the State of Israel, which he then uses to argue his broader points about the instability of Western-backed structures in the Middle East.
He tends to treat Palestinian militant actions as a logical outcome of "asymmetric" geopolitical pressure rather than purely ideological or Islamist movements.
3. Stance on a Palestinian State
While he does not explicitly advocate for a specific political solution (like a one-state or two-state solution) in the traditional diplomatic sense, his rhetoric is consistently anti-Zionist.
Delegitimization of Israel: By claiming that Jewish identity was a "Persian construction" and that the State of Israel is driven by "Christian Zionist" extremism, he implicitly supports the idea that the current Israeli state structure is an artificial imposition on the region.
Palestinian Indigeneity: While he critiques the "manufacturing" of Jewish identity, his lectures generally avoid applying the same "constructionist" critique to Palestinian identity, often positioning the regional Arab presence as the baseline that is being disrupted by external Western/Zionist forces.
4. Comparison to the Vietnam War
A recurring theme in his work is the comparison of the Palestinian struggle to the Vietnam War.
He uses this comparison to suggest that a smaller, technologically "inferior" force (the Palestinians) can use guerrilla tactics to exhaust a more powerful state (Israel) and its international backers (the U.S.).
This framing suggests he views the Palestinian cause as part of a broader "anti-imperialist" or "multipolar" push against Western hegemony.
Summary Table: Jiang's Perspective on Palestine
Aspect Jiang Xueqin's Framing
Palestinian Cause Viewed as a tool of "asymmetric warfare" against Western influence.
The State of Israel Framed as an artificial entity driven by extremist "Christian Zionism."
Violence/Conflict Often described as a "trap" designed to draw the world into a larger war.
Historical Parallel Frequently compares the situation in Gaza to the Vietnam War.

[Haven't watched this yet. But:] Jewish identity as we know it was constructed in stages. The first stage - adoption of Biblical texts as authoritative - came about probably in the Hasmonean period , so starting in the late 2nd century BC, i.e. much later than the Persian period. (This is the view of scholars like Reinhard Kratz and Yonatan Adler.) Rabbinic (i.e. Talmudic) Judaism, which became the orthodoxy, took even longer to develop. The Mishnah wasn't compiled until around 200 CE and the Gemara is thought to have taken its final not until the 6th century CE.

Others who wore traditional clothing and attire, they were not and are not Gods chosen people, they are varied from many different places and backgrounds. Bless them as children of God like everyone else and respect others property and belongings. When I lived somewhere unsafe, I moved around people who wanted the same things as I did, you can't force your way of life on other people period.

this sounds like a very interesting lost truth. this makes sense. If you study bible and church history and listen to bible scholars, they will tell you that the old testament early books were written during the captivity time of the Persians [Cyrus? ] and some books were written during the time of the Babylonian captivity, but most were during the time of the Persians conquering their lands. Which means we don't have solid proof of the events of the bible's exodus, Joshau, Abraham or even the book of Judges and King David, UNTIL it was written centuries later by the Jew during the Persian times [Ezekiel, Nehemiah, Esther ].

There’s one problem here & that is who are the true Israelites not Revelations 2:9 & 3:9!
One way to identify them is by the by curses, who fits these curses?
Let’s go to Luke & whom are the people that been LED AWAT CAPTIVE into all nations?
(Luke 21:24
24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.)
We can clearly see the gentiles are destroying to land today & true Israelites are not there because there’s no peace in the land?

before Persian empire, ancient israelites used to worship 5 God ( Baal, Asheran, Anat, Yahweh and EL)
after rebuilding the second Temple of jerusalem and through 200 years of peace and prosperity israelites became 1 religion with sole Gold Yahweh and a 1 Holy Book ( the old Testament). nobody talk about Huge impact of Zoroastrianism during those 200 years and great revolution Jews had in their faith. without the second temple you never had Jewish and Christianity and most of all Jesus Christ himself.
and if instead Romans, Parthian empire ruled over Jerusalem you never had crucifixion of Jesus. Jews literally sold him to Roman so Roman don't get mad at this new guy with new believes and when Roman went mad they would burn cities down and start massacre after massacre but Parthian and Iranian/Zoroastrians over all never had that mind set.

My question is, how are you so certain Pax Judaica will defeat the American empire? Some of your reasoning, I can understand however you are forgetting something important:
American Christians are currently also waking up to history as well. They are also waking up to their Christian understanding of the history of Christ. Their churches are infiltrated with Zionist subterfuge but many and more as we speak are rejecting that influence.
So one way for your prediction to be false is if Christians in America and around the globe unite against this movement which is becoming more likely.
Now more than ever, young people are becoming new Christians, and these Christians are not making the same mistakes in misinterpreting the Bible or it's political warnings.
Thanks for the lessons!

Important to mention that Cyrus, was called out by name as the one that would deliver Israel. More important is that the passage was written before Cyrus was even king... Just saying. Maybe he thought he was doing it for his own reasons, but really, he did it because God loves his people.

The word you are looking for is "vassal state." Persia, by letting the Isralite exiles back to the Levant, and financed it, did so, on the basis thst Israel would be a vassal to Persia. Israel is SO IMPORTANT, because it is a focal point on major trade routes that connect Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia together.

I am a lifelong Atheist and I am also a liberal. This man is historically illiterate and his opinion is ignorant, bigoted, racist, and full of false statements and hateful blood libels. I could point out dozens of rediculous things he said that would be laughable if I didn't understand who he is and what his evil intentions are; but let me just point out how his main arguments that, (1) "Persians constructed the Jewish identity", along with (2) his fake narrative behind the reasons why Cyrus let the Jewish people return to Jerusalem, are false. But before I do, let me reiterate that I am a lifelong Atheist who has never believed in anything magical, mythical, or prophetic. That being said, everything in the bible is legendary if it is not accompanied by either an extra-biblical source and/or archeological proof of existence. Extra-biblical sources and archeological finds have certainly corroborated plenty of historical figures, places, and events mentioned in the bible.. This is true for the events concerning the expulsion of the Jewish people to Babylon and the subsequent return that was made possible by Cyrus. However, Cyrus didn't just grant this right for the Jewish people. He did this for all oppressed people and slaves living under Babylonian rule and this was corroborated by the Cyrus Cylinder which is an archeological find of the late 19th century in the Mesopotamian region. He surely did this for political reasons, but nonetheless this is what happened. Also, the Jewish identity was solidified more than ever before while in exile in Babylon, but it wasn't "constructed" by the Persians. That is garbage. During the exile while the Jewish people were under Babylonian rule, when asked who they were and where they came from, the Jewish people replied that they came from Judea and that they were Jewish. That was BEFORE the Persians defeated the Babylonians; not to mention AFTER centuries of historically-corroborated Jewish self-determination BEFORE exile. This man also contradicts himself saying that "the Israelites are gone" around the 3-minute mark only to claim that the Jewish people who returned from exile in Babylon to be surrounded by enemies and that the Jewish people went on to battle against the Samarians, "who are Israelites who stayed in the Levant, do you understand?" around the 8-minute mark. YES, I understand. I understand that you have the historical knowledge of the region equivalent to a grade school child with access to social media. He even passes off this fake claim that Israel plans to ethnically cleanse all Arabs. This is easily refuted because it is a complete inversion of the 1,400 years of murder, torture, subjugation, rape, enslavement, forcible conversions, oppression, and ethnic cleansing the Jewish people have endured in the Levant and the surrounding 55 Muslim countries. It is further refuted by the 2-million Arab-Israeli citizens that currently live in Israel (not Gaza or the West Bank) and enjoy the same rights as Jewish-Israeli citizens. Unlike most of the 55 Muslim states throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia, Israel is not an Apartheid state and Israel is not a theocracy. Israel is a tolerant democratic state with religious freedom for all races, ethnicities, religions, and genders. Finally, there are not "a lot" of Jewish people in the diaspora against the State of Israel. There are around 16-million Jewish people in the world and only around 20,000 to 30,000 who are of a particular ultra-orthodox ideology that believes that Israel should not be created BEFORE the messiah comes. They are not anti-Zionists. They are anti-Zionists RIGHT NOW. They are anti-secular Zionists. This man is a Chinese national spewing anti-West propaganda in all of his videos. His home country recently rounded up roughly 1.8-million Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities from marginalized communitites into internment camps; but here he is hypocritically spreading fake propaganda and blood libels meant to demonize Israel and dehumanize the Jewish people worldwide (over 95% are Zionists and support Israel). His deflection is a cover up of his own crimes and atrocities. Please stop with your false claims, fake narratives, and hateful rhetoric. Disgusting, sickening, evil.

In answer to your question, the 12 tribes lived throughout the Land of Israel, not just in northern Israel and not just in the south - at the time of the Temple and near the time of the exile of the tribes of Israel (dispersed throughout the world), they were divided (and did not split) into the Kingdom of Judah and the Kingdom of Israel. After that, the Jews were exiled from their land, the Land of Israel - regarding the Khozar Kingdom (about a people who accepted Judaism), opinions differ. Some say it is just a book (the Book of the Khozars) and the book was written in the form of a parable - and some say that there was such a kingdom that existed in the Caucasus - and even with this story, there is no way to cancel the Jewish identity of the people of Israel (hence calling all Jews a cult of Satan, Freemasons or Illuminati is far from reality). Any person who wants enough can convert and become a Jew, but they make it difficult for him.

If you read the texts of Isaiah Cyrus of Persia doesn't actually match the description of Cyrus.
I'd suggest yes the Jews exiled in Babylon certainly worked as administrators, when Persia took over they continued in that role.
In terms of what happens with Cyrus it seems far more likely, he was manipulated by Rabbis, who showed him his name in the texts of Isaiah.

So anything in the Bible should never be used to study history.. to many lies

I find it sketchy that he acts like this was in any way specific to Israel.
Cyrus did not have a specific policy of restoring the Israelites, but a general policy of restoring exiled peoples.
Under the Assyrians and Neobabylonians, the Arameans, Phonicians, Elamites, Carians, Philistines, and others were deported in the same way as the Israelites.
Cyrus specifically legalized the return of these peoples in general with the Edict or Restoration.
The Israelites were not singled out either for exile or return. That's just cultural egocentrism.

That was very helpful although I don't think the empire "is" the US. The empire is far more overarching and wielding of power within many nations, operating as a defacto world-state, or global "shadow-government" pulling strings within many states. That's what empire means, like an "umbrella" or "mother" corporation overarching multiple nations.

first we need to understand if you deny the old testiment as an historical documant - if you do theres no need to answer your question because jewish heritage is well established from biblical prespective (that is the story of ower people) and historical prespective well rooted in archeology and other historical books that completly contridicts this "proffesor" trying to reinvent history . things that the Jewish people preserved for thousands of years before Islam and before Christianity - for example, circumcision - any other opinion that nullifies the Jewish identity as a people is illegitimate, as it deals with the distortion of history and ignoring the traditions that were zealously preserved (even at the cost of death) for years - for example, the Jewish people did not mix with the Persian people. Likewise, the Jewish people never sought to convert or Judaize people from other peoples. Two basic conditions for who is a Jew - a. Jewish mother and b.circumcision(for males). This is how the Jewish people are protected from assimilation. Many Muslim scholars—classical and modern—have debated whether Dhul-Qarnayn (ذو القرنين) in Surah Al-Kahf refers to Cyrus the Great, the Persian king.
---
Who is Dhul-Qarnayn in the Qur’an?
Dhul-Qarnayn appears in Surah Al-Kahf (18:83–98):
A righteous ruler
Given power and authority by Allah
Travels to the east and west
Builds a massive barrier to protect a people from Gog and Magog (Ya’juj wa Ma’juj)
The Qur’an praises him as just, believing, and strong.
---
Is Dhul-Qarnayn actually Cyrus the Great?
One scholarly opinion: YES, Dhul-Qarnayn is Cyrus.
Evidence supporting Cyrus = Dhul-Qarnayn
1. The title “Two-Horned One”
Cyrus wore a crown with two horns in ancient reliefs (found in Pasargadae).
“Dhul-Qarnayn” literally means “The Two-Horned One.”
2. Cyrus was known for justice
The Qur’an describes Dhul-Qarnayn as a just ruler.
Cyrus is historically known for freeing Jews from Babylon and issuing a “human-rights style” edict (Cyrus Cylinder).
3. His empire reached East and West
Exactly like the Qur’anic description.
4. Cyrus built barriers
Some historians link his fortifications in the Caucasus region (e.g., the Darial Gorge) to the wall against Gog and Magog.

Khazars are not semites! They are descendants of the ancients Turks! They were mostly Pagans! After being defeated by the Romans about 1000 years, they were offered to choose between Islam and Judaism! Because there were similarities between Paganism and Judaism, they chose the latter! They then infiltrated judaism to a point of introducing their own book called Temuld! They spread in Eastern Europe and Russia! They are caucasians not middle easterner semites!

Chinese propaganda. Yehudi is not persian and absolutely not a persian political construct. It comes directly from the Hebrew bible, long before the persian empire ever ruled the region. Yehudi = one of the yehuda
first appears in Tanackh during the first temple period. Used internally by israelites themselves. The Persians simply encountered a people who already called themselves Yehudim. Yehudah (Judah) appears long before any Persian involvement:
2 Kings 16:6 First temple era
Jeremiah 34:9. Nice try China

Old Persia, and Persia in general (and Iran today is a continuation of this policy) was not religiously tolerant. Christianity was persecuted as it was seen as a Roman religion. Then when Islam took over Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Judaism was suppressed. Persia has always had a strict view on which religions are tolerated, and a monotheistic religion at that time would be antithetical to an Empire that viewed it's kings as semi-divine to divine.

prof jiang is fantastic, but I think retains a eurocentric view at some points, primarily due to his age (impossible to escape eurocentrism at that age). Egypt has never consistently been the richest part of the world, India has been - at one point the Roman empire was losing a third of its GDP to trade with India, and for India, this was miniscule at the time.

What really happened is that the Jews like all people at that time were enslaved by pagan religion. The pagan religion imposed teachings that enslaved and dehumanized. The Jews wanted to be free and this introspection invented a new idea of monotheism and a father God. The idea was so powerful it revolutionized the world producing human dignity and freedom.

I respectfully disagree with the Prof. Jiang that Israel would win a conflict with the US predicated on a its breaking away as a vassal state. Even if the US released Israel from its vassal status, then there is no way other nations or coalitions of nations wouldn't destroy Israel. Israel would no longer have the US guaranteeing its security, ergo existence. Israel has no natural regional allies: only enemies.
The list of countries that would attack Israel unilaterally or multilaterally are many and most of them have much bigger populations than Israel. Furthermore, Israel is divided between secular and religious populations that would hinder unity.
Turkey 8x larger population
Iran 9x
Egypt 11x
Syria 2.5X
Gulf States 6x

A few inaccuracies in this exposé:
1- The characters of King David and Solomon are purely literary. There is absolutely no archaeological or historical evidence for their existence.
The archaeological studies of Israeli scholars, like Israel Finkelstein will confirm the fictitious character of king David.
2- The Bible did not exist before 272BC. It was compiled in the library of Alexandria from Greek translations of ancient Egyptian and Babylonian texts. Read the research of Russell Gmirkin on the subject.
The papyri from Elephantine which represent the correspondence between Judean expatriates and the grand priest of Jerusalem around 450BC show that they did not know any Biblical texts, did not observe the sabbath and did not practice Judaism. Herodotus, who travelled extensively throughout the region and described in detail every religious practice of the time, never ever mentioned the existence of Jews, Israel or Judaism. The earliest archaeological evidence of the practice of Judaism dates from the second century BC. (ref. Pr. J. Adler).

The ruling bloodlines of ancient Babylon moved to Venice and Rome after Jesus crucifixion. Their control over Judah and today Israel is obvious. This mystery Babylon is present in Freemasonry, druidic Hollywood, corporate consumerism and the abrahamic religions control by order through chaos.

Yes, the word " Yehudi " was created during this time. Before that they always called themselves " Bneii Israel, Am Israel, Ivri ". But the israelite and jewish identity was really created in ancient egypt. There is a physical proof that Israel was known by the egyptian and they went to egypt as a people.
The Merneptah Stele, an Egyptian inscription from around 1208 BCE, famously states, "Israel is laid waste, its seed is not," marking the earliest extra-biblical mention of Israel, identifying them as a people in Canaan. The egyptian were litteraly calling them " asian ".
In the 17th century BCE, the Hyksos in ancient Egypt were people from Levant and Canaan that took the power. They ruled the area of the Delta/Gochen. There is archeological evidences that they had similarities with the Hebrew ( graves, names etc... ). They were defeated by the Pharaoh Ahmose I in mid 16th century BCE. Ahmose I reunited the fragmented kingdoms of Egypt but the Hyksos people stayed there. In the Torah the name of the city Ramses in the Delta area probably refere to the Pi-Ramses city.
So the hebrews people from asia coming from Levant and Canaan were in Egypt during 400-500 years but he says that they are an identiy created by the Persian ? Only the word Yehudi come from the persian era. The Torah litteraly use ancient Egyptian words. In the Torah Moshe the name of Moses means " Son of " in ancient egyptien. Pareo/Paro means big house/royal palace then the Pharao himself come from ancient egyptian. Teva also come from ancient egyptien and is still a word used in hebrew. Aḥou which means reeds is ancient egyptian.
And also, in the Torah when God speaks about himself in a solemn declarative way like " I am god " he does not use the hebrew word " Any " to say I'm. The word Anochi is used. This workd come from the solemn word " Anoki " in ancient egyptian to say " I'm " used by the egyptian gods or Pharaos. So it's a stylistic form coming directly from ancient egyptian / akkadian. This word is probably in ancient egyptien and not in hebrew so the people of that time can refere to the egyptian customs. If he is the greatest god, he has to speak like a god.
Also the last guy does not understand shit with his naive question. The Palestinian identity and nation are born in 1948. This is a direct response to the creation of the modern state of Israel to stop it. The arabs countries didnt wanted jews to come back and make a state. They needed a geopolitical way to stop them and they created the palestinian. The world Palestine itself is a direct insults to the jews. It was named Palestine by the romans after the jews were deafeted in 67AC by the roman empire. They named it Palestine to humiliate the jews by giving their country the name of Philistin. Philistin a name that come from the hebrew word Pilishtim that means " Invaders ". Arabs don't have the letter P so they say it " Filistin ". That was the name given by the jews to the people of Gaza. It's not random that the palestinian are the only refugee in the world that keep the status of refugee even if they are born somewhere else. The palestinian existence denies the existence of Israel and is a direct heritage of the roman victory over them.
Stating that the jewish identy was created by persian is one of a big shortcut.

Anyone who has spent a minimum of time with history or theology will recognise a recurring pattern: nearly every major civilisation, tribe, religion and culture has, at some point, claimed divine superiority and entitlement. Actually, perhaps one of the most common shared human traits may be, "Our superior deity definitely likes us more than those pathetic heathens over there!”

That really doesnt make sense about America being the Empire & Israel its proxy. Because the Rothschilds & other jewish families were investing in palestine in the late 1880's. They purchased something called the "promise lands" in 1915 i think it was, & their secretary put forth the balfour agreement in 1917. Russia was taken over by these same ethno-group & France, & Britain, & Germany, & Serbia, & Poland & hungary. The British exiled them as so many, in 1290, but they were allowed back legally after regaining political power to do so, & by the late 1600's they owned the British banks & were even running a British Atlantic slave trade. I will tell u one thing, they are always good at getting money.

I assumed the same. Israel didn't even seem to exist before Persia, not provably. Also, Persia had a singular God, whereas ancient Canaanites didn't.

3:50. What is identity?
Religion, language, food, culture, stories.. if the Israelites are still alive, the Israelites weren't destroyed.
At 9:00 Jews returned back to their land and joined the Israelites that had stayed and taught over who the true Israelites were... thy didn't all leave ...
I liken it to the relocated and decimated American Indian tribes that are still around in areas not native to the... some maintained to an extent.

This video presents a provocative historical and geopolitical thesis: that the Jewish identity and the nation of Israel are "constructs of the imperial imagination," specifically invented by the Persian Empire to maintain control over the strategically important Levant region.
Countering the Claims with Facts
1. Claim: The Persians "invented" the Jews and Jewish identity.
* The Fact: Archaeological evidence, such as the Merneptah Stele (c. 1208 BCE), mentions "Israel" as a distinct people in the Levant centuries before the Persian Empire existed. The Mesha Stele and the Tel Dan Stele also confirm the existence of the "House of David." While the Persians (under Cyrus the Great) allowed the exiles to return and rebuild their temple, they did not "create" the identity; they restored a group that already had a long-established history, language, and religious tradition.
* The Context: The transition from "Israelite" to "Jew" (Judean) was a natural linguistic shift based on the name of the Southern Kingdom (Judah), not a Persian branding exercise.
2. Claim: Cyrus the Great only sent the Jews back to "divide and rule" the Levant.
* The Fact: Cyrus’s policy of religious tolerance was universal, not specific to the Jews. The Cyrus Cylinder records him allowing many displaced peoples to return to their homelands and rebuild their sanctuaries to ensure stability and local support across his entire empire. It was a strategy of "integration through autonomy," not a specific plot to create a permanent conflict zone in the Levant.
3. Claim: Modern Israel is an "American project" designed to create conflict for control.
* The Fact: The modern State of Israel was the result of the Zionist movement, which began in the late 19th century as a response to European antisemitism. Its establishment involved complex international diplomacy (the Balfour Declaration, the UN Partition Plan) and local Jewish efforts. While the U.S. is a key ally, describing Israel as an intentional "American invention" to keep the Middle East unstable ignores the internal agency and centuries-long aspirations of the Jewish people.
4. Claim: Israel will destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque to build a "Third Temple."
* The Fact: While some extremist fringe groups in Israel advocate for this, it is not the official policy of the Israeli government. The "Status Quo" agreement governs the Temple Mount, and Israel’s top religious and political leaders have repeatedly affirmed the sanctity of the site for all faiths to prevent a catastrophic regional war.
Exposing the Cynicism (Layman's Terms)
The purpose of this video is to push a deeply cynical and "tinfoil hat" version of history. It tries to convince you that the Jewish people aren't a real nation with their own history, but just a "tool" or a "product" made by big empires like Persia or America to stir up trouble.
Why this is rubbish:
* It robs people of their history: By saying the Persians "invented" Jews, the speaker is ignoring thousands of years of real history, archaeology, and culture that existed long before the Persians showed up. It’s like saying "The Internet was invented by Google"—it ignores everything that came before.
* It’s a "Divide and Conquer" narrative itself: The speaker claims empires want to keep everyone fighting, but he is the one pushing a story that makes peace sound impossible. He frames Israel as a "theocratic war machine" destined to destroy holy sites, which is a scare tactic used to get views and stir up anger.
* It’s elitist and insulting: The speaker talks about the "imperial imagination" as if people are just chess pieces on a board. He ignores the fact that real people—both Israelis and Palestinians—have their own goals, lives, and desires that have nothing to do with secret "imperial" plans.
The Bottom Line: This video is a cynical attempt to rewrite history to make it look like everything in the Middle East is a "fake" setup. It ignores facts and archaeology to sell a sensationalist story that everyone is just a pawn in a giant, secret game.

Nowadays everyone become an expert in define our Jewish identity, is like give your opinions about the neighbors family heritage: you look from outside! You have not an idea who your neighbor's intimate life is, not his heritage. How people dare to continue talk about us as a concept. We're a people, an ethnicity and a religion. Persians didn't shape out identity, actually they decreed to annihilate us because we were a people with it's own laws and traditions, and we didn't lived according to the Persian standard.

If you’re feeling uneasy about this video, trust that instinct. This isn’t mainstream history. It relies on several discredited claims — especially the idea that Jewish identity was “invented by empire,” which erases well-documented historical, archaeological, and cultural continuity and mirrors classic antisemitic conspiracy tropes. The classroom setup gives an appearance of academic authority, but the arguments presented aren’t supported by serious scholarship. It’s worth cross-checking these claims with peer-reviewed historians before taking them at face value.

I had an Arab man tell me how to piss off a Jew. He told me that you go into his shop and buy a radio or something. You ask the Jew how much he wants and the Jew says $10, then you hand him a $10 bill and walk out with your radio. He told me that Jew will spend the rest of the day thinking about how he could have charged you $20 for that radio.

I don’t agree with many things Dr. Jiang presents here. A lot makes no sense. For instance: Themajority of Jews did not leave Babylon. They had the freedom to go, but the majority didn’t.
He visited once Israel and he did not understand the Israeli society.
Etc etc etc.
I predict that most of his prediction will not become reality.

One mistake in this is saying before they were Jews they were Israelites there was a distinct northern and southern Kingdom the northern kingdom was known as the Israelites and they were destroyed and exiled by the Assyrians in the 8th century and they never really returned did you dance were in the southern Kingdom these were the Jewish people some of the northern kingdom did come to the southern Kingdom but for the most part the identity was of the Judaleans of the Southern Kingdom. This Kingdom these people are well known throughout the ancient near East. Actually, the term Israel was not really used to associate with the southern Kingdom outside of scriptural references. It is also somewhat known and academic circles that Torah observance really never occurred until the hasmonean era.

Actually, what is TODAY Israel really offered nothing in resources or true Imperial Value to any of the Empires of antiquity. The only reason to bring those KINGDOMS (*there Never was a “Jewish” OR Canaanite state for that matter in ancient times) was because they neighbored the truly older civilization of Egypt and Mesopotamia. The flow of religious and cultural from West and North and especially East (*from Iranian cultures/Persia especially). Jews ARE Canaanites; their language is a DIALECT of Canaanite. As a historian, I could break down their culture all day and twice on Sunday.……Oh!! And whatever you do…Don’t test those poor peoples of Palestine’s DNA……A greater truth is sitting right there in their veins all along.😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😆😎🔥⭐️🎆🌄🌠🎇🙏⭐️😹

There are elements of this I feel are understated, and elements which I disagree with. First of all there is significant linguistic evidence that there are Persian influences on the Genesis story (the only ancient society with the concept of the garden, for instance is the Persian empire.) Where I disagree is that the Persians built the ideology from whole cloth. The story prior to the Persian period is quite embarrassing for the Israelites. It also managed to maintain a surprising amount of Bronze Age content. Additionally the Samaritan movement very clearly overlaps with some exilee content so the conflict is not nearly as simple as is handwaved away here.

Has Professor Jiang done any speculation on the thirteenth tribe? I heard a nation called Khazar converted to Judaism for political reasons. The current "Jews" are said to be not descendants of the Hebrews who escaped Egypt with Moses and therefore have no legitimate claim to the land. I don't if it is true, I just get into history and study human societies. I am Anglo-Saxon and do not sympathize with neither the Palestinian not the Isrealis. Two men enter one man leaves. From what I understand the Palestinian are actually Arabs whom not natives to the area in dispute.

Reuben, the firstborn son of Jacob, lost his birthright due to his actions of dishonoring his father by sleeping with his father's concubine. As a result, the privileges of the firstborn were transferred to Joseph's sons, and Reuben is not listed in the genealogical records as the firstborn.
Joseph's lineage, as described in the Gospel of Matthew, traces back to Abraham through King David, emphasizing his royal ancestry. This genealogy includes a total of 27 generations from David to Joseph, highlighting Jesus' legal claim to the throne of Israel through Joseph, who is considered his legal father.

This is some of the most uneducated shit I've ever seen. Just for starters the Bible is the Old Testament and the New Testament, whereas the Torah is only the Old Testament which Jews would never refer to their own text as. If you're teaching about Judaism and Jewish history, call it the Torah. Furthermore, the sourcing on some of these slides is beyond yikes. Saying the "Israelites" are gone with the conquest by the Archaemenid Empire is a bad take because Poland has been partitioned on numerous occasions but because the people survived and maintained their language and culture, they were able to reform at later dates. You can say the state was gone but the people. Saying stuff like "who ever controls Egypt controls the world" is super weird and then saying the "Jews were created by the Persians to control the Levant" is straight up antisemitic.
This guy is not a professor and does not hold a history degree of any kind. If you think you're here learning about Jewish history I feel sorry for you. For reference, I have an undergrad and masters in history, so I'm not exactly uniformed. The whole part about the Samaritans mismatches his whole theory about Cyrus returning Jews from Babylon to Jerusalem and the surrounding area to control the Levant as a proxy state of his. His history of Tel Aviv and it's concentration of gays is super strange, he's basically rambling at this point.
Oh and btw I am no fan of the modern Israeli state, so I'm not criticizing this guy because I'm pro-Israel. I'm criticizing him because he's not a history teacher and it shows. Jewish identify is not created by Empires to suit Empires. That is anti-Semitic and he's condensing thousands of years of disparate history to draw a straight line from the ancient Persian state and the Babylonian Exile to the modern USA and modern Israel. It is no surprise the comment section is a mix of anti-Semitism with people who are against the modern Israeli state. People are confused and this "lesson" is only making things worse.
