ROY K. ALTMAN serves as a United Stated District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. Judge Altman graduated from Columbia University, where he played both football and baseball, before earning his law degree from Yale Law School. After clerking for the U.S. Court of Appeals and serving as a federal prosecutor, he became the youngest federal district court judge ever appointed in the Southern District of Florida.

Judge Altman lives in Miami, Florida. He is a prolific writer and public speaker, focusing mainly on the rule of law, the importance of public service, and the modern discourse around Israel and antisemitism.

Roy K. Altman
Roy K. Altman is a United States District Judge for the Southern District of Florida. At 36, he became the youngest federal district court judge in the country and the youngest federal judge ever appointed in the Southern District of Florida. Altman received his BA from Columbia University, where he played quarterback for the football team and pitched for the baseball team, earning All-Ivy honors. Altman received his JD from the Yale Law School, where he was projects editor of the Yale Law Journal. After law school, Altman clerked on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Stanley Marcus.

Altman then became a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami, where he twice received the Director of the Executive Office of U.S. Attorneys' Award for Superior Performance--a nationwide honor. In 2013, Altman was named "Federal Prosecutor of the Year" by the Miami-Dade Chiefs of Police and the Law Enforcement Officers' Charitable Foundation.

In 2014, Altman became a partner at the Miami law firm of Podhurst Orseck, where he represented the victims of bank-fraud conspiracies and international airplane crashes--including the families of passengers aboard Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared over the Indian Ocean after taking off from Kuala Lumpur.

Since the Hamas massacres in Southern Israel on October 7, 2023, Altman has led dozens of federal judges from all across the United States on the first-ever Judicial Education Missions to Israel. He's also given hundreds of speeches about Israel, antisemitism, and the rule of law at colleges, law schools, churches, synagogues, and community centers around the world.

In “Israel on Trial,” Judge Roy Altman refutes six major arguments advanced by critics of Israel. The book is the perfect antidote for college students whose minds have been poisoned by the current scourge of anti-Israel hate speech.

The best chapter is the first one, where Altman rebuts the Palestinian claim that they are more indigenous to historic Israel than the Jews. He examines four stone-carved pronouncements and one stone-carved bas-relief by the empires that surrounded the ancient Kingdom of Israel. One of the official statements dates back to 1,205 B.C.E. Each artifact, in its own way, testifies to the existence of Jewish self-rule in the Land of Israel more than 1,800 years before the region was plundered by the Arab Conquest from Arabia.

Altman proceeds to explain that despite a succession of foreign invaders, the Jewish inhabitants repeatedly tried -- and repeatedly succeeded -- in regaining autonomy in their ancestral homeland. In the 20th Century those efforts lawfully produced the modern State of Israel.

People who appreciate indigenous rights will be amazed to discover how such a tiny indigenous minority overcame so many centuries of foreign belligerence. Readers may then realize that the belligerence continues to this day.

Starting in the 1960’s, Arabs in and around Israel widely adopted the nationalist label “Palestinians.” Then they began to profess that the ancient Canaanites were Palestinian. They contended that the State of Israel unjustly replaced a country called Palestine. They added that Jesus was a Palestinian, Jerusalem was originally an Arab city called al Quds, and al Quds never housed a Jewish temple.

As a result of the political revisionism, Palestinian supporters worldwide now insist that Palestinians are more indigenous to Israel than the Jews. It’s a silly notion, as Altman calmly explains.

If you’re looking for a book that will give you talking points supporting Israel, this is a book for you. The problem is that the talking points are easy to pick apart. I feel like this author would be an easy person to beat in a debate. Although he probably wouldn’t recognize valid points presented by the other side.

First, this book was not what it claims to be. He’s not looking at all the evidence and seeing where that takes him. In the first few pages, the author immediately reveals his bias with the way he talks about Palestinians.

The author doesn’t present all of the information that would be needed to form a truly objective assessment. For example, the author talks about the hundreds of thousands of Jews who have left other Middle East countries, but the the author doesn’t talk about the 750,000 Palestinians who were pushed from their land in 1948 in The Nakba.

The author also commits red herrings. For example, the author talks about how opponents of Israel don’t think Israel should exist. No serious people are talking about that. He is referring to a minority that is extreme…. The vast majority of people support Israel being a state - they just don’t want Israel to kill children and claim self-defense. He also fails to talk about how some extreme Israeli Zionists have displaced Palestinian families who were living in villages for hundreds of years for settlers who are from other countries. And these settlers are often very violent.

This is a truly biased book.

Touro 행사 보도에서도 Altman은 “자기 집에 무단침입할 수는 없다”는 식의 법적 비유를 사용했다.

두 번째 주장은 <이스라엘을 아파르트헤이트 국가라고 부르는 것은 법적 개념의 남용>이라는 것이다. 이 지점에서 그는 남아프리카공화국식 인종분리 체제와 이스라엘 현실 사이의 차이를 강조할 가능성이 크다. 이스라엘 내부에는 아랍 시민권자가 있고, 이들은 투표권·정당 활동·의회 진출·사법 접근권을 가진다. 따라서 Altman은 이스라엘 국가 전체를 남아공식 아파르트헤이트와 동일시하는 것은 지나친 단순화라고 본다.

하지만 여기에는 강한 반론이 있다. Amnesty International은 2022년 보고서에서 이스라엘이 이스라엘 내부, 점령지, 난민 문제를 포함해 팔레스타인인에게 지배와 억압 체계를 가하고 있다고 주장했고, Human Rights Watch도 2021년 보고서에서 이스라엘 당국이 유대인 이스라엘인에게 특권을 부여하고 팔레스타인인을 차별하는 정책을 유지해 왔다고 보았다. Altman의 책은 바로 이런 보고서들의 법적 논리를 반박하려는 작업으로 읽힌다.

세 번째 핵심은 <제노사이드 혐의>다. 2023년 10월 7일 하마스 공격 이후 이스라엘의 가자 전쟁은 국제법 논쟁의 중심이 되었다. 남아프리카공화국은 이스라엘을 국제사법재판소에 제소했고, ICJ는 2024년 1월 이스라엘에 제노사이드 방지 의무, 선동 처벌, 인도적 지원 보장, 증거 보존 등을 명령하는 잠정조치를 내렸다. 다만 ICJ의 잠정조치는 최종적으로 제노사이드가 입증되었다는 판결은 아니다. Altman은 바로 이 차이를 강조할 것이다. 즉 “끔찍한 전쟁”, “민간인 대량 피해”, “과도한 군사행동”과 “제노사이드 의도”는 법적으로 구별해야 한다는 것이다.

이 책의 장점은 감정적 논쟁에 법적 검증이라는 틀을 도입한다는 데 있다. 이스라엘-팔레스타인 문제에서는 양쪽 모두 피해 서사를 가지고 있고, 특히 2023년 이후에는 도덕적 언어가 사실 검증을 압도하는 경우가 많았다. Altman은 “증거를 내라”, “개념을 정확히 쓰라”, “법률상 구성요건을 충족하는가를 따져라”라고 요구한다. 이것은 필요한 태도다. 정치적 구호가 아무리 정의로워 보여도, 법적 판단은 증오와 분노가 아니라 증거와 기준에 따라 이루어져야 한다.

그러나 이 책에는 분명한 한계도 있다. 첫째, 저자의 기본 위치가 상당히 친이스라엘적이다. 그는 이스라엘을 변호하는 법정 변론의 형식으로 책을 구성하는 듯하다. 따라서 책의 제목은 “이스라엘 재판”이지만, 실제로는 “이스라엘 변론”에 더 가까울 가능성이 높다. 물론 변론도 지적으로 가치가 있다. 그러나 독자는 이것을 중립적 재판관의 판결문으로 읽기보다, 강력한 변호인의 논증으로 읽는 편이 안전하다.

둘째, 법적 접근은 중요한 사실을 밝혀주지만, 동시에 현실의 구조적 고통을 축소할 위험도 있다. 예를 들어 “제노사이드의 고의가 법적으로 입증되었는가”라는 질문은 중요하다. 그러나 그 질문만으로 가자의 민간인 대량 사망, 기아, 봉쇄, 의료체계 붕괴, 강제이주 문제를 충분히 설명할 수는 없다. 국제법의 엄격한 문턱은 필요하지만, 그 문턱을 넘지 못했다고 해서 현실의 폭력이 사라지는 것은 아니다.

셋째, “유대인의 역사적 토착성”을 강조하는 논리는 설득력이 있지만, 그것만으로 팔레스타인인의 토착성과 권리가 약화되지는 않는다. 유대인이 그 땅과 깊은 역사적 관계를 가진다는 사실과, 팔레스타인인 역시 수세기 동안 그곳에서 살아온 집단이라는 사실은 동시에 성립한다. 문제는 “누가 더 오래 있었는가”만이 아니라, 현재 두 민족이 어떤 정치적 권리와 안전을 보장받아야 하는가이다.

넷째, 아파르트헤이트 논쟁에서도 이스라엘 본토 시민권 문제만으로 판단하면 점령지 현실이 흐려진다. 서안지구의 군사점령, 정착촌, 이동 제한, 토지 통제, 법체계의 이중성은 단순한 안보 조치만으로 설명하기 어렵다. Altman이 이 부분을 얼마나 깊이 다루는지가 책의 설득력을 좌우할 것이다.

전체적으로 이 책은 반이스라엘 담론에 대한 강력한 반론서다. 특히 “이스라엘은 식민지 국가다”, “이스라엘은 아파르트헤이트다”, “이스라엘은 제노사이드를 저지르고 있다”는 명제를 법적 기준으로 따져보려는 독자에게 유용하다. 그러나 이 책만 읽으면 팔레스타인인의 경험, 점령의 일상성, 국제 인권단체들의 구조적 비판은 과소평가될 수 있다.

결론적으로 <Israel on Trial>은 이스라엘을 둘러싼 도덕적 언어의 과잉을 견제하는 책이다. 그 점에서 읽을 가치가 있다. 하지만 이 책은 문제의 최종 판결문이 아니라, 한쪽의 잘 조직된 법정 변론이다. 좋은 독법은 Altman의 논증을 Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, ICJ 문서, 이스라엘 내부 비판자, 팔레스타인 지식인의 글과 함께 대조해 읽는 것이다. 그래야 이 책의 장점인 “증거 중심성”은 살리면서도, 그 한계인 “방어 논리의 편향성”을 넘어설 수 있다.

ザラスシュトラ（アヴェスター語: Zaraθuštra、ペルシア語: زرتشت Zartošt、紀元前7世紀 - 没年不明）は、ゾロアスター教の開祖。古代アーリア人の宗教の神官。その生涯については謎が多い。ザラスシュトラはアフラ神群とマズダー（叡智）を結び付け、アフラ・マズダーとして唯一の崇拝対象とした。

日本語では英語名 "Zoroaster" の転写であるゾロアスターの名で知られるが、これは古代ギリシア語での呼称であるゾーロアストレース（Ζωροάστρης, Zōroastrēs）に由来する。また、フリードリヒ・ニーチェの著作『ツァラトゥストラはこう語った』と、同作に触発されてリヒャルト・シュトラウスが作曲した同名の交響詩の影響で、ドイツ語読みの「ツァラトゥストラ」 (Zarathustra) としても知られる。

経歴

ザラスシュトラはハエーチャスパ族の神官一族スピターマ家に生まれた。15歳で聖紐クスティーを身にまとい、「原イラン多神教[1]」とも呼ばれる宗教の神官階級として教育を受けた。20歳のときに原イラン多神教に反旗を翻し、一族を離れて旅に出た。いたるところで原イラン多神教の神官たちから嫌われ、一箇所に定住することができず、部族から部族を行き巡ったという[2][3]。

30代ごろにザラスシュトラは2人の妻を得て6人の子供に恵まれたが、原イラン多神教神官たちの妨害を受けて信徒獲得はできず出身部族を離れ、トゥーラーン人を布教対象にした。しかし彼らの王を怒らせ追放されてしまう。その後ライバルのマズダー教神官と対決したり、ダエーワを崇拝する王にアフラ・マズダーを崇拝するよう迫ったが10年余り信徒獲得はならなかった[4]。

40歳の時、従兄マドヨーイモーンハが帰依してザラスシュトラは待望の弟子を得た。ここから彼の布教活動は好転し、続いて「スィースターンの賢者」サエーナーが100人の弟子を引き連れてザラスシュトラの教団に加わった[5]。

42歳の時、オラナタ族の王カウィ・ウィーシュタースパによって取り立てられ、世俗権力の後ろ盾を得た。これによって原イラン多神教の神官団は追放され、ザラスシュトラは生活の糧と宗教権力を手に入れた。さらにザラスシュトラは宰相フラシャオシュトラ・フォーグマの娘を娶り、フラシャオシュトラの弟ジャーマースパ・フォーグマに自分の娘を嫁がせ、権力基盤を固めた[2]。このようにして行われたザラスシュトラの「宗教改革」によって、新たに倫理観に裏付けされた二元論・終末論を軸とした一神教的な「原ゾロアスター教」と呼ばれる信仰体系が誕生した[1]。周辺の部族はオラナタ族が怪しげな新興宗教に改宗したことに反発し、何度か戦争が行われたが、オラナタ族が勝利してザラスシュトラの正しさが証明されたとされる。その後、ザラスシュトラは礼拝中に暗殺されたとも伝えられている。既存の宗教・政治勢力を覆したため恨みを買う要素は大いにあったと思われる。ザラスシュトラの死後も教団は世俗権力の後ろ盾のもと、娘婿のジャーマースパに引き継がれた。ジャーマースパは原ゾロアスター教の急進的な教義をより原イラン多神教寄りに修正した[2]。

年代と地域の比定

ザラスシュトラがいつどこで生まれたのか詳細は分かっていない。ナポリ大学教授ラルド・ニョリは伝承からザラスシュトラの在世年代は紀元前620年 - 紀元前550年であると想定した。また、アヴェスター語が古層から新層への発展にどれだけの歳月を要したのか、アヴェスター語とサンスクリット語の発展にどれほど対応関係があったのかという非常に曖昧な手掛かりから紀元前1700年～紀元前1000年のいずれかに生きていたとする説もある[6]が、古代に遡る詩人の説などは現在の歴史学者によって否定されており、紀元前650～600年ごろが有力視されている。

古代の研究

古代ギリシア人は、アケメネス朝ペルシアを通じてザラスシュトラの名を知り、ザラスシュトラの記録を残した。その中では、彼らの時代よりも5千年以上過去の人物であるとされるなど、神話的に把握されていた。従って、古代ギリシアの文献記録の記述は歴史上のザラスシュトラについて正確とは言い難い。ただし、紀元前4世紀頃には既にこのような伝承が存在していたことを確認できるという点では史料価値がある。ザラスシュトラが何者であったのかは完全に不明であり、伝説の人物となっている。ギリシャの歴史家の著述の中には、紀元前6000年以上遡るバビロンでピュタゴラスに秘教を伝授したなどの説もある。とにかく、ザラスシュトラをヤーウェよりも前に生まれた人物であると決めつける研究が行われていた。

ザラスシュトラの故郷については以下の説がある[7]。

教え

ザラスシュトラ本来の教えは、イランの神話的聖典『アヴェスター』内の「ガーサー（英語版）（韻文讃歌）」部分の記述が近いと考えられる。しかしガーサーに使われたガーサー語は非常に難解で、現代では『リグ・ヴェーダ』を参考になんとか意味を割り出せる程度にしか解読できていない（そもそもガーサー語は宗教言語であり、ザラスシュトラ自身はソグド語の祖語を母語としていたという説もある）[8]。

一神教を最初に提唱したともいわれるが、ガーサーには「アフラ・マズダーとほかのアフラたち」という表現も見られ、唯一神の存在を主張していたわけではない。またセム的一神教と異なり超越的な神が預言者を通じて人類にメッセージを送ることはなく、人間がアフラ・マズダーに呼びかけるために聖呪を用いる構造となっている[9]。

また、ガーサーは本来呪文に過ぎず、後代の編集によって一定の世界観が作り出されていると推定されている[10]。

ザラスシュトラはアフラ神群とマズダー（叡智）を結び付け、アフラ・マズダーとして唯一の崇拝対象とした。また、アフラ・マズダーは宇宙に秩序をもたらそうと努力していると説き、これが後に二元論に発展した。また、アフラ神群の神々を天使とし、ダエーワ神群を悪魔とみなした[11]。

ザラスシュトラ伝説

ゾロアスター教の衰退後、ザラスシュトラへの崇敬はイスラム教徒に引き継がれた。ゾロアスター教の教義とは別の隠された「光の叡智」を唱えた神秘的な存在として、大いにイスラム教徒たちの間で尊敬された。この虚構のイメージは東ローマ帝国やルネサンス期の西ヨーロッパに伝わった[12]。

ルネサンス期、新プラトン主義者にとっては、ゾロアスターはプラトン主義哲学とキリスト教信仰の源流となる人物であるとされた。さらに2世紀の偽書もゾロアスターの著作とされたことで、「バビロニア占星術の大家、プラトン主義哲学の祖、キリスト教の先駆者、マギの魔術の実践者」という荒唐無稽なイメージが付与されることとなった。このようにオカルト化されたゾロアスター像は肥大化し、様々な知識の最高の体現者とみなされ、人智学にも影響を与えた。18世紀、パールシーたちの伝えてきた文献がヨーロッパにもたらされたことで、知識人たちはゾロアスターの叡智が垣間見えると期待したが、そこには古代の呪文しか書かれていなかった。これによりザラスシュトラの実像に迫ることができるようになったが、その後もゾロアスター像は変遷を遂げ、フリードリヒ・ニーチェが自著『ツァラトゥストラはこう語った』に自らの思想を仮託したり、ナチスがアーリア民族の偉人として位置づけるなど、様々な立場から利用された。これらの見方は日本人のザラスシュトラに対するイメージに大きな影響を与えている[13]。

자라스 슈트라 ( 아베스터어 : Zaraθuštra, 페르시아어 : زرتشتZartošt, 기원전 7세기 - 몰년 불명)는 조로아스타교의 개조. 고대 아리아 인 종교의 신관. 그 생애에 대해서는 수수께끼가 많다. 자라스 슈트라는 아프라 신군과 마즈다(주지)를 연결하여 아프라 마즈다 로서 유일하게 숭배 대상으로 했다.

일본어로는 영어명 "Zoroaster"의 전사인 조로아스타 의 이름으로 알려져 있지만, 이것은 고대 그리스어 로의 호칭인 조로아스트레이스 (Ζωροάστρης, Zōroastrēs)에서 유래한다. 또한 프리드리히 니체 의 저작 ' 자라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다 '라고 동작에 촉발되어 리하르트 스트라우스 가 작곡한 동명의 교향시 의 영향으로 독일어 읽기의 '자라투스트라'(Zarathustra)로도 알려져 있다.

경력

자라스슈트라는 하에차스파족의 신관 일족 스피타마 집에서 태어났다. 15세에 성찬 쿠스티를 입고 '하라이란 다신교 [ 1 ] '라고도 불리는 종교의 신관계급으로 교육을 받았다. 20살 때 하라 이란 다신교에 반기를 들고 일족을 떠나 여행을 떠났다. 도처에서 하라 이란 다신교의 신관들로부터 미움받고, 한 곳에 정착할 수 없어, 부족으로부터 부족을 돌아다녔다고 한다 [ 2 ] [ 3 ] .

30대쯤에 자라스슈트라는 2명의 아내를 얻어 6명의 아이에게 축복을 받았지만, 하라이란 다신교신관들의 방해를 받아 신도 획득은 못하고 출신 부족을 떠나 투란인을 포교 대상으로 했다. 그러나 그들의 왕을 화나게 추방당한다. 그 후 라이벌의 마즈더 교신관과 대결하거나 다에와 를 숭배하는 왕에게 아프라 마즈더를 숭배하도록 강요했지만 10년여 신도 획득은 되지 않았다 [ 4 ] .

40세 때, 사촌 마드요이몽하가 귀의해 자라스슈트라는 대망의 제자를 얻었다. 여기에서 그의 포교활동은 호전되고 이어서 「스이스턴의 현자」사에이너가 100명의 제자를 끌고 자라스슈트라의 교단에 참가했다 [ 5 ] .

42세 때 오라나타족의 왕 카위 위슈터 스파에 의해 세워져 세속권력의 뒤 방패를 얻었다. 이에 따라 하라 이란 다신교의 신관단은 추방되어 자라스슈트라는 생활의 양식과 종교권력을 얻었다. 게다가 자라스 슈트라는 재상 프라샤오슈트라 포그마의 딸을 떠났고, 프라샤오슈트라의 동생 저머 스파 포그마에게 자신의 딸을 아내가 시켜 권력 기반을 굳혔다 [ 2 ] . 이처럼 행해진 자라스슈트라의 '종교개혁'에 의해 새롭게 윤리관에 뒷받침된 2원론·종말론을 축으로 한 일신교적인 '원조로아스타교'라고 불리는 신앙체계가 탄생했다 [ 1 ] . 주변 부족은 오라나타족이 수상한 신흥 종교로 개종한 것에 반발해 여러 차례 전쟁이 이루어졌지만 오라나타족이 승리하여 자라스슈트라의 정확성이 증명되었다고 한다. 그 후, 자라스슈트라는 예배 중에 암살되었다고 전해지고 있다. 기존 종교·정치세력을 뒤집었기 때문에 원한을 사는 요소는 많이 있었다고 생각된다. 자라스슈트라의 사후에도 교단은 세속권력의 뒤 방패 아래 딸사의 저머스파에 계승되었다. 쟈머스파는 원조로아스타교의 급진적인 교리를 보다 원이란 다신교 쪽으로 수정했다 [ 2 ] .

연대와 지역의 비정

자라스슈트라가 언제 어디서 태어났는지 상세한 것은 알 수 없다. 나폴리 대학 교수 랄드 뇨리는 전승에서 자라스 슈트라의 재세 연대는 기원전 620년 - 기원전 550년이라고 상정했다. 또한, 아베스터어가 고층에서 신층으로의 발전에 얼마나 세월이 걸렸는지, 아베스터어와 산스크리트어 의 발전 에 얼마나 대응 관계가 있었는가 하는 매우 모호한 단서로부터 기원전 1700년~기원전 1000년의 어느 쪽 인가 에 살아 있었다고 하는 설도 ] 이 고대에 거슬러 올라가는 시인의 설 등은 현재의 역사학자에 의해 부정되고 있으며, 기원전 650~600년경이 유력시되고 있다.

고대 연구

고대 그리스인들은 아케메네스 아침 페르시아 를 통해 자라스 슈트라의 이름을 알고 자라스 슈트라의 기록을 남겼다. 그 중에서는 그들의 시대보다 5천년 이상 과거의 인물이라고 여겨지는 등 신화적으로 파악되고 있었다. 따라서, 고대 그리스 의 문헌 기록의 기술은 역사상의 자라스 슈트라에 대해 정확하다고는 말하기 어렵다. 다만 기원전 4세기 무렵에는 이미 이러한 전승이 존재하고 있음을 확인할 수 있다는 점에서는 사료가치가 있다. 자라스슈트라가 누구였는지는 완전히 불명하고 전설의 인물이 되고 있다. 그리스 역사가의 저술 중에는 기원전 6000년 이상 거슬러 올라가는 바빌론 에서 퓨타고 라스 에 비교를 전수한 등의 설도 있다. 어쨌든, 자라스 슈트라를 야웨보다 전에 태어난 인물이라고 결정하는 연구가 이루어지고 있었다.

가르침

자라스슈트라 본래의 가르침은 이란 의 신화적 성전 ' 아베스타 ' 내의 ' 가서 ( 영어판 ) (운문사)' 부분의 기술이 가깝다고 생각된다. 그러나 가서에 사용된 가서어는 매우 난해하고, 현대에서는 ' 리그 베다 '를 참고로 어떻게든 의미를 낼 수 있는 정도밖에 해독할 수 없다(원래 가서어는 종교언어이며, 자라스슈트라 자신은 소그드어 의 조어를 모어로 했다는 설도 있다) [ 8 ] .

일신교 를 최초로 제창했다고도 하지만, 가서는 '아프라 마즈더와 다른 아프라들'이라는 표현도 보여져 유일하게 하나님의 존재를 주장한 것은 아니다. 또한 셈적 일신교와 달리 초월적인 하나님이 선지자를 통해 인류에게 메시지를 보내는 일은 없고, 인간이 아프라 마즈다에게 부르기 위해 성주를 이용하는 구조로 되어 있다 [ 9 ] .

또한 가서는 원래 주문에 지나지 않고, 후대의 편집에 의해 일정한 세계관이 만들어지고 있다고 추정되고 있다 [ 10 ] .

자라스 슈트라는 아프라 신군과 마즈다(주지)를 연결하여 아프라 마즈다로서 유일하게 숭배 대상으로 했다. 또한 아프라 마즈더는 우주에 질서를 가져오려고 노력하고 있다고 설득했고, 이것이 나중에 이원론으로 발전했다. 또한 아프라 신군의 신들을 천사로 삼아 다에와 신군 을 악마로 여겼다 [ 11 ] .

자라스 슈트라 전설

조로아스타교의 쇠퇴 후, 자라스슈트라에 대한 숭경은 무슬림에게 이어졌다. 조로아스타교의 교리와는 다른 숨겨진 '빛의 지혜'를 주창한 신비한 존재로서, 크게 이슬람교도들 사이에서 존경받았다. 이 허구의 이미지는 동 로마 제국이나 르네상스기 의 서유럽 에 전해졌다 [ 12 ] .

르네상스기, 새로운 플라톤주의자에게 있어서, 조로아스터는 플라톤주의 철학과 기독교 신앙의 원류가 되는 인물이라고 여겨졌다. 게다가 2세기의 위서도 조로아스타의 저작으로 된 것으로, 「바빌로니아 점성술의 대가, 플라톤주의 철학의 조, 기독교의 선구자, 마기의 마술의 실천자」라고 하는 황당무익한 이미지가 부여되게 되었다. 이와 같이 오컬트화된 졸로아스터상은 비대화되어 다양한 지식의 최고의 체현자로 간주되어 인치학 에도 영향을 주었다. 18세기, 펄시들의 전해 온 문헌이 유럽에 가져온 것으로, 지식인들은 조로아스타의 지혜가 엿볼 것으로 기대했지만, 거기에는 고대의 주문만 쓰여져 있었다. 이로써 자라스슈트라의 실상에 다가갈 수 있게 되었지만, 그 후에도 조로아스타상은 변천을 이루고, 프리드리히 니체 가 자저자 ' 차라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다 '에 스스로의 사상을 가탁하거나 나치 가 아리아 민족의 위인으로 자리매김하는 등 다양한 입장에서 이용되었다. 이러한 견해는 일본인의 자라스 슈트라에 대한 이미지에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다 [ 13 ] .
