would not form a coalition with the Arab parties.

TheWire.in's post

In any normal country, after the firm trend which emerged from counting showed the parties opposed to Prime Minister Netanyahu winning more than 61 of the parliament’s 120 seats, the opposition party leaders would hold a joint news conference and announce the formation of a government. But in Israel, racist psychosis has become normalised. Most of the Jewish opposition parties, with the exception of the Democrats, had already announced that they would not form a coalition with the Arab parties. The obvious consequence is that Netanyahu will either form a government through defections – and there is no shortage of potential candidates in Eisenkot’s party – or remain at the head of a caretaker government until the next election.
This is an Israeli modus operandi: The country’s “hasbara” machine repeatedly insists that Israel is a democracy in which all citizens, particularly members of the Arab minority, can participate in elections. At the same time, racist politics deprives the Arab public’s votes of any meaningful political effect.
The deadlock, which was foreseeable from all pre-election polls predicting that the opposition would fall short of a majority of 61 seats without the Arab parties, proved even more damaging to the Jewish opposition parties’ plans than expected. Despite efforts to suppress Arab voter turnout, the disqualification of the Balad party leader, and a campaign of incitement and delegitimisation — and contrary to polls predicting low turnout among the Arab minority amid a sense of existential threat — Arab citizens of Israel broke their all-time turnout record. Trends estimate that the Arab parties are winning roughly 19 seats.

Still Looks like a more successful electoral system than our hijacked democracy where RSS, an unregistered, unaccountable organization, has captured every pillar of democracy and elections have become a farce.
Also, Try counting the MPs from minority community after elections. Even Israel is electing more muslim representatives than us.

Shouldn’t our country be factoring in these aspects while working on our relationship with Israel?🤔

In the elections, the Jewish people have rejected pro-Arab parties—not entirely, but to a significant extent. This is evidenced by the fact that they have awarded the highest number of seats to Benjamin Netanyahu’s party in Israel. Regardless of what the International Court of Justice may say about Benjamin Netanyahu, he is a hero to non-Muslims across the globe. He has instilled the courage in non-Muslims to stand up and fight against Islamic terrorism. A salute to this Jewish individual—and a friend of India! 🙏♥️

“Today, Israel is holding a national election, and Arab citizens, who make up about a fifth of the country, are casting ballots alongside everyone else.
Arab-led parties are on the ballot, competing for seats in the Knesset, and they could even decide who becomes the next prime minister. Meanwhile, Gaza hasn’t held an election since 2006. Hamas won that vote, took full control of the Strip by force the following year, and has made sure nobody there has voted since. The West Bank hasn’t voted since 2006 either.
Free Palestine, starting with freeing it from Hamas”

The oxymoronic juxtaposed phenomenon of Israel polity is that— Religious and Orthodox Jews are not Facist RW Zionists but those who are Athiests, agnostic and non religious and hardly follows any scriptures are Zionists! Ultra Right justifies their claim of the place from Scripture— they claim themselves as chosen people!!! They cites Biblical sources as historical evidence!! Total intra conflicting and self contradictory discourse. Nonetheless Arabs ( non Arab Muslims also have the same cognitive dissonance.)

Antisemitic slop.
Let's see the comparisons to other "normal" countries. Also Arab parties were already in a coalition in a previous government.

Once in a while try to set your biases aside and report things a bit more truthfully without an antisemitic colour.

Reveals? It has been visible since 1948. And Israel is nothing but a continuation of British Raj with a new mask.

"racist psychosis? "normalized?" How about simply something like this ... socialization norms in Israel produce projected and displaced self-hate toward just about anyone who isn't an Israeli ... most notably in this case Sunni Arabs living in Israel who are generally sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinian Sunnis. The socialization of hate - irrational hate, pathological hate, meaning projected and displaced self-hate (acquired in childhood) - is common in all individualistic/competitivistic societies. Por ejemplo, here in the U.S. the socialization of pathological hate is the norm. Sadly, the Sunni Arabs living in Israel end up shooting themselves in the political foot.

A strange democracy, where millions cannot vote, and—despite being under occupation—they lack the rights to which an occupied population is entitled under the Geneva Convention. They have no rights whatsoever. There are separate roads for them, and others for those who keep them occupied. Just like in South Africa under the apartheid regime. Just like for the Jews under Hitler. Their property is stolen from them. Their homes are destroyed and burned down. Their goats and sheep are poisoned by the henchmen of the occupying forces. Their olive groves are bulldozed. In Gaza, every university, hospital, school, and home has been smashed. In the West Bank, the henchmen of the occupying forces assault the people who rightfully live there. It is monstrous.
